  1. From the Press Release –

Memphis, TN – Got a question about Social Security or veterans benefits? Planning on going to college and need to know about financial aid? Maybe you just want to share your thoughts about health care, the economy, crime, or something else that’s on your mind.

Congressman Steve Cohen will be hosting a town hall meeting this Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to Noon at BRIDGES, 477 North Fifth Street, Memphis, TN 38105. The Congressman’s entire staff from Washington, DC and Memphis will be on hand to answer questions or help Ninth District residents with a wide-range of constituent services offered by the federal government.

NOTE: Media interested in covering the Town Hall meeting are asked to RSVP to Steven Broderick no later than the close of business on Friday.

At this time, we’re only permitting still photographs during the town hall. For the privacy of our constituents, we will not be permitting video cameras to film during the town hall – video will be permitted prior to and after the event.

  2. Hey Steve, that is pretty Gutless of you not allowing Video during the meeting. You must know in advance that if the subject is on Health Care, that there is going to be questioning or as you Democrats say an Angry Mob! But it was You Democrats who thru Hillary Clinton who said that it was Patroic to questions the govt and it was HUSSEIN OBAMA who said Get in their Face! So if it is Patrotic for you, then it is for us… You dont want your lying butt to be on film/… If you vote for Health Care or Death Care as we truthfully call it, then you will NOT be a Represenative next election, that I can forsee in your future… So go ahead and tell the LIES about Health care/Deathcare and you will not be a Congressional person but for 1 term!

  3. What’s up with Lowry having town hall meetings when most of us taxpayers are WORKING and can’t attend?!?!

  4. So much for transparency! Wouldn’t it be nice for all to be able to see the questions and answers at that meeting? Why would you be afraid of any questions? Something fishy
