Things are getting even more confusing.
First, Sen. Mark Norris is planning a bill that would require a countywide vote. He plans to ram this bill through the first week of the legislature, which is normally just an opportunity for committee assignments to be made and new members to figure out which bathroom is closest to their office. Fun times.
City leaders are none too happy about the proposed bill.
Still waiting on a lawsuit over the delay of the election, and the City Schools Attorney has told the Election Commission to get on with it. Now that they have cover from the State Elections Coordinator, I don’t see them moving without the courts getting involved.
