The creek is rising…if you consider the Mighty Mississippi a creek.
Two of the areas that will be hit the hardest were hit just last year…Millington and Dyer Co. Dyer officials breeched the damn levee to prevent a bigger disaster as the Mississippi river rises.
Last year, during the flooding to the north of us, I asked a City Councilman what, if any, preparations the city was making. He said we were ok because we’re on a bluff. If the sandbags at City Hall are any indication. We may not be so ok.
